Dr. Puja Sunil Pawar is an accomplished Assistant Professor of Economics at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with more than 20 years of distinguished experience in teaching, research, academic leadership, and institutional service across India and Saudi Arabia.
Before joining the Saudi higher education sector, Dr. Pawar served as a Professor of Economics in several prestigious institutions in Mumbai, including H.R. College of Economics and Finance, Jai Hind College of Science, Commerce and Arts, and Thakur College of Science and Commerce. Her dedication to teaching and student development has been recognized through Best Teacher Awards received from the institutions where she has served.
Her international academic experience includes teaching Economics and Finance at undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate levels in Saudi Arabia. She has also served as Head of Department and chaired several academic and institutional committees, contributing actively to academic governance, curriculum development, quality assurance, and accreditation initiatives, including NCAAA and AACSB.
Dr. Pawar maintains a strong international research profile and collaborates with academics, students, and institutions on interdisciplinary research projects. She has published journals in internationally recognized, including the Journal of Cleaner Production, International Entrepreneurship and Management Journal, and the Journal of Environment & Development. Her research interests focus on Macroeconomics, Green Finance, ESG, Sustainable Development, Digital Transformation, Financial Innovation, and Inclusive Growth.
She is also an active peer reviewer for several high−indexed international journals and has served as an editor and editorial board member for reputed academic journals. In addition, she has guided and supervised PhD researchers in India and abroad and regularly contributes to research collaborations and scholarly initiatives.
