Dr. Taru Saigal holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani and is UGC−NET qualified in Economics. She has over four years of teaching and research experience at reputed institutions, including CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Mody University of Science and Technology, and Alliance University. Her areas of expertise include Development Economics, Gender Economics, Labour Economics, Applied Econometrics, and Public Policy.
Her research focuses on labour markets, gender, development, mobility, and socio−economic issues, with extensive experience in analysing large−scale national datasets using econometric techniques. She has published numerous research articles in internationally reputed, Scopus−indexed journals and has also contributed book chapters, policy commentaries, and newspaper articles on contemporary economic issues.
Dr. Saigal has served as Co−Principal Investigator on ICSSR−funded and university−funded research projects and has presented her work at several national and international conferences. She is currently serving as a Topic Editor for an article collection in the journal Frontiers in Future Transportation (Frontiers, Switzerland), in addition to actively reviewing manuscripts for leading international journals. She has also held several academic leadership roles related to curriculum development, research, and student mentoring, and is proficient in Stata, SPSS, and EViews.
